HOPE CREATES THE PLAN!

Believer in Christ:  Our hope IS the creator.

"...our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, WHICH IS our hope..."  (1 Timothy 1:1 KJV)

Our hope is a person:  Christ Jesus

Jesus Christ is the creator of all things.

"For by him [Christ Jesus] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM, AND FOR HIM: And he is before all things, and BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."
(Colossians 1:16-20 KJV)

Christ lives in us and we live in Him.

HOPE CREATES THE PLAN!

Different Kinds of Faith In Christ

Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’?
~ Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 5:23 NKJV)

Then Peter said...
"In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
(Acts 3:6)
Well, which is it?

I say it is easier to say "Your sins are forgiven you."

Why?

Because that saying demands no immediate proof that it is a true statement. In other words, anyone can say it. Even a liar could say it. No one can confirm either way without a doubt if it is a true statement in a given situation.

However, only someone with the backing of power from heaven can say "rise up and walk."

In this case, Jesus continued...
But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” — He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!” (Luke 5:24-26 NKJV)
Jesus said to the man "arise, take up your bed" to demonstrate that He also has power on earth to forgive sins.

The power of healing proves the truth that Jesus also has power on earth to forgive sins.

This goes right to the heart of faith in Christ.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV)
Right now, which is easier to believe?
  1. HISTORICAL FAITH:  Is it easier to believe that Jesus lived in the past and healed a man and that He had the power to forgive sins?
  2. PAST AND FUTURE FAITH:  Or, is it easier to believe that Jesus lived in the past and healed a man and that He has the power to forgive sins in the future?
  3. NOW FAITH (depersonalized):  Or, is it easier to believe that Jesus lives now, and heals now, and that He has the power to forgive sins now?
  4. NOW FAITH (personal - with doubt):  Or, is it easier to believe that Jesus lives in you now, and heals through you now, and that He has the power to forgive sins through you now?
  5. NOW FAITH (personal - without doubt - COMPLETE):  Or, is it easier to believe that Jesus lives in you now, and desires to heal through you now, and that He desires to forgive sins through you now?
I say that option five is the hardest to believe.

Why?

Option five is the hardest to believe because this kind of faith demands the demonstration of the truth - right now. The first three can be said without demonstration. The first four allow room for excuses and delays.

Now, pressing further, which of the above options are actually true?

Further study... I pray that this builds the faith of anyone who encounters it.

GOT IT?

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore GET WISDOM: and with all thy getting GET UNDERSTANDING." (Proverbs 4:7 KJV)

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU'VE GOT IT?

"BY THIS ALL MEN SHALL KNOW that ye are my disciples, IF YE HAVE LOVE one to another." (John 13:35 KJV)

It is WISE to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Disciples of Jesus are marked (ARE KNOWN) by LOVE.

Disciples of Jesus UNDERSTAND that JESUS is GOD and that GOD is LOVE. (ref. 1 Timothy 2:5 and 1 John 4:8)

And WE KNOW that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an UNDERSTANDING, THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (1 John 5:20 KJV)

"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the KNOWLEDGE of his will in ALL spiritual WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the KNOWLEDGE of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, WHO HAS QUALIFIED YOU to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." (Colossians 1:9-14 ESV)

THE WAY OF LOVE

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not LOVE, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not LOVE , I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not LOVE, I gain nothing.

LOVE is patient and kind; LOVE does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. LOVE bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

LOVE never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

So now faith, hope, and LOVE abide, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE." (1 Corinthians 13 ESV)

"Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE one another..." (Romans 13:8 KJV)

Ten Facts About The Will of God

"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."  (Ephesians 5:17 KJV)

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (James 4:7-10 KJV)

HOW FAR ARE YOU WILLING TO GO?

WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE?

The following are the words of Christ Jesus.

"Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. AND THEY ALL WITH ONE CONSENT BEGAN TO MAKE EXCUSE. The first said unto him, I HAVE BOUGHT A PIECE OF GROUND, AND I MUST NEEDS TO GO AND SEE IT: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I HAVE BOUGHT FIVE YOKE OF OXEN, AND I GO TO PROVE THEM: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I HAVE MARRIED A WIFE, AND THEREFORE I CANNOT COME. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, IF ANY MAN COME TO ME, AND HATE NOT [love less] HIS FATHER, AND MOTHER, AND WIFE, AND CHILDREN, AND BRETHREN, AND SISTERS, YEA, AND HIS OWN LIFE ALSO, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it. Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. SO LIKEWISE, WHOSOEVER HE BE OF YOU THAT FORSAKETH NOT ALL THAT HE HATH, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." (Luke 14:16-35 KJV)

This is the Word that the disciple of Jesus Christ stands on. The Word of Christ Jesus is the word of life.

Personal Declaration: I don't just want to be a disciple. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. When I gave my life to Christ Jesus, I gave him my whole life. I heard His call and I gave (fully committed) to Jesus my all. I counted the cost - that I may finish. There is nothing that I will not lay down for Jesus. This has never been a joking matter for me. I have been tested on some but not everything yet. I do pray to be found faithful through the end. I've made a lot of mistakes. However, I have decided to continue going forward in Christ. I've heard it many times, "CONTINUE."  That is what I shall do in Christ.  I shall continue.

More words of Jesus...

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. AND EVERY ONE THAT HATH FORSAKEN HOUSES, OR BRETHREN, OR SISTERS, OR FATHER, OR MOTHER, OR WIFE, OR CHILDREN, OR LANDS, FOR MY NAME'S SAKE shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." (Matthew 19:26-30 KJV)

I speculate that if these words weren't in the Bible, the life of a disciple could be much easier. But these words are written, along with the following. More from Jesus...

"And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, THEY SHALL lay their hands on you, and PERSECUTE YOU, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers FOR MY NAME'S SAKE. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. AND YE SHALL BE BETRAYED BOTH BY PARENTS, AND BRETHREN, AND KINSFOLK, AND FRIENDS; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. AND YE SHALL BE HATED OF ALL MEN FOR MY NAME'S SAKE. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls."
(Luke 21:7-19)

And for those who would try to explain away the word of Jesus for various reasons, we are also given the word of the Apostle Paul to Timothy [The son of a Greek who died around 97 AD ... about 27 years after the destruction of the Jewish temple]...

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: FROM SUCH TURN AWAY. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and ALL THAT WILL LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. BUT CONTINUE THOU in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, which ARE ABLE to make thee wise unto salvation THROUGH FAITH which is IN CHRIST JESUS. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
(2 Timothy 3:1-17 KJV)

Why are these words written and published? Are they mere speculation? Are they optional?

Or, are they TRUTH?

1 Corinthians 13, The book of John, and the book of 1 John speak of "love" ... and 2 Thessalonians 2 speaks of "the love of the truth." These are the same love.

GOD is love (1 John 4:8).
JESUS is truth (John 14:6).

"I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."
(Psalm 138:1-2 KJV)

GOD has magnified His Word is above all His name. And the name of JESUS is worthy of all worship and praise. This is the word of life that I stand and contend for.

Personal declaration: "I've had enough."

What I am referring to is compromise.

"I've had enough of compromise."

Compromise does not work. Compromise always falls short of the "ALL" commitment of a disciple.

However: Praise be to GOD! For the Word of God works with the Holy Spirit of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

HALLELUJAH!

WARNING: Don't be deceived. Many think that their way is the right way because their way looks good or feels good. Being a disciple of Christ doesn't always look good. It doesn't always feel good. Sometimes it may feel like you are the only one standing. But the Word of God is the rock that doesn't move.

Sometimes, all that is left is to stand.

Stand on the solid foundation of the Word of God in Christ Jesus and watch as God delivers you [and those who stand with you] time and again into His arms of true love.

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore..."
(Ephesians 6:13-14 KJV)

Personal declaration: I choose to believe, to stand on, and to follow the Word of the Lord Jesus without compromise. I refuse to attempt to put my conditions or anyone else's conditions upon the Word of God. It may look hard to some. It may look harsh to others. It may turn all away from me. But the Word is the Word. Jesus is my Lord and my defender.

God bless you.

DELUSIONAL

To delude is: to impose a misleading belief upon (someone); to deceive; to fool someone.

To be delusional, according to psychiatry, is to hold a belief in the face of evidence to the contrary - that is resistant to all reason.

For example:  I am telling you now that God still heals people in the name of Jesus Christ.

If I was to tell you this without providing any evidence, I could be accused and convicted of deluding you.

On the other hand, if I was to provide you clear evidence that God still heals people in the name of Jesus Christ...

And, in the face of this evidence, you still didn't believe...

What would that make you?

STUMBLING?

"He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him."
(1 John 2:10 KJV)
How much is "none?"

Yes, The Word of God says "there is NONE occasion of stumbling" in the person who "loves his brother."  Therefore, if you are experiencing a stumbling problem, it's a great idea to search your heart and let go of any grudge, hatred, or anything else that you are holding against your brother.  According to The Word of God, this will bring light into the situation and keep you from stumbling.

MAKE IT RIGHT - ABIDE IN THE LIGHT
"He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes."
(1 John 2:9-11 KJV)
Don't allow darkness to blind your eyes.

FORGIVE YOUR BROTHER
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
(1 John 1:5-7 KJV)
How much is "all?"

Yes, "if we walk in the light... the blood of Jesus... cleanseth us from ALL sin."

LOVE YOUR BROTHER
"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
[THIS IS A KEY TO THE KINGDOM]
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."
(Matthew 18:21-35 KJV)
LOVE AND FORGIVE YOUR BROTHER AND THE LIGHT OF CHRIST WILL KEEP YOU FROM STUMBLING

OUR GOSPEL

Romans 1:9
"But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by OUR GOSPEL, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 KJV)

WHAT IS "OUR GOSPEL?"

"... OUR GOSPEL came not unto you IN WORD only, but also IN POWER, and IN THE HOLY GHOST, and IN MUCH ASSURANCE; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake [excellent character - hard working - trustworthy (see 2 Thess. 2:15, 3:6) good traditions of the orderly - not disorderly]. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord [worthy to follow], having received the word IN MUCH AFFLICTION [pressure, tribulation, persecution], WITH JOY OF THE HOLY GHOST [see James 1:2-3, Acts 5:41, and Matthew 10:16-25]. So that ye were ENSAMPLES [the believers as examples, "living epistles" (see 2 Corinthians 3:1-3)] to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord [TESTIMONY - PREACHING -SHARING OF THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH - SHARING OF FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS] not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also IN EVERY PLACE your faith to God-ward is spread abroad [SPREADING OF FAITH]; so that we need not to speak any thing. For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you [READILY OBVIOUS], and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God [CHANGED LIVES]; And to wait for his Son from heaven [PATIENTLY - LOOKING FOR], whom he raised from the dead, even JESUS, which delivered us [NOW DELIVERED - ACTIVE - NOW FAITH (see Hebrews 11:1-40 and Matthew 6:10) actively delivered now] from the wrath to come.
(1 Thessalonians 1:5-10 KJV)

This is "OUR GOSPEL."

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)

The Wonderful Powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation (according to Romans 1:16).

A one-page printable PDF of this content is located HERE.

LOVE AND PRAY IN CHRIST - FOR ALL

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation (according to Romans 1:16).

If any doctrine (or idea, or tradition) causes one to suspect or believe that any man or woman is a devil (anything less than a man) and that the person shouldn't be loved and/or prayed for ... that doctrine (or idea, or tradition) is not from Christ Jesus.

For Christ Jesus teaches us even to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use and persecute us. How much more in Christ are we to love our brother and our neighbor?
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."
~ Jesus of Nazareth (Matthew 5:44-45 KJV)
Who is it you know that isn't your brother, or isn't you neighbor, or isn't your enemy?

That list surely includes everyone who you will ever encounter in your life.

LOVE AND PRAY IN CHRIST - FOR ALL

Now we have rulers, authorities, laws, forces, and prisons to deal with people who are a danger to one another. People who are dangerous and/or abusive should be dealt with according to the authorities. There is no argument about that according to Romans 13.

However, notice also in the text of Romans 13 that it says: "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law" (Romans 13:8 KJV).

JESUS IS PERFECTLY CLEAR IN HIS WORD - IN HIS COMMANDMENT - TO LOVE
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
~Jesus of Nazareth (John 13:34-35 KJV)
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
(Matthew 22:37-40 KJV)
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." ~Jesus of Nazareth (John 14:15 KJV)
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." ~ Jesus of Nazareth (John 14:21 KJV)
Love and pray for your brother, your neighbor, and your enemy. Love and pray for ALL.

Contend for the faith! Don't allow any doctrine (or idea, or tradition) to separate you from the love and will and commandment of Christ Jesus.
"Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. If you [only] love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same... But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful."
~ Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 6:31-36 AMP)
"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (John 14:23 KJV)
What doctrine (or idea, or tradition) is greater than the love of Christ Jesus?

LOVE AND PRAY IN CHRIST - FOR ALL

Notice, however, that loving and praying for all is different than receiving all.  For example, it would be foolish for a woman with children to receive a deceiver to stay in her house.  There is at least one specific warning about this in scripture...
"... unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth ... many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds ..."  (2 John 1:1-13)
Loving and praying for all does not at all mean to submit to all.  Loving and praying for all does not at all mean to partake with all.  This is wisdom that is made clear in the full counsel of God which includes (Romans 13:1-14 and 2 John 1:1-13).  God has given us authorities for a good reason.  God has given us wisdom for a good reason.

Remember this:  God changes people through prayer.

In a most perfect example, first, Jesus Christ taught his disciples to "pray for them who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44-45).  Then along came Saul of Tarsus, persecuting the disciples of Jesus Christ (Acts 7:58-60, 1 Corinthians 15:9).  Stephen, a disciple of Christ Jesus, (Acts 6:1-7) was the first to be persecuted to death in the sight of Saul.  It is written that Stephen prayed for his persecutors when he was stoned (Acts 7:58-60) and it is written that Jesus witnessed this act and the prayers of his disciple Stephen (Acts 7:55-56).  Yes.  "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good" (Proverbs 15:3).  God saw that Saul was among the group of those persecutors that received Stephen's prayers (Acts 7:58-60).  But Saul's behavior didn't change exactly at that moment.  Saul continued to persecute.  "Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison" (Acts 8:3). But Stephen, remembering the teachings of Jesus, had prayed for Saul and the persecutors; "Lord, do not hold this sin against them" (Acts 7:60).  It is likely also that other disciples, remembering the words of Jesus, prayed for Saul who persecuted them.

Did prayer make a difference with Saul?
"And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, and desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do." (Acts 9:1-6)
Yes!  God heard and answered the prayer of His faithful, the way of prayer that He Himself taught, to change Saul of Tarsus (a persecutor of Christ) into Paul the Apostle.  Then Jesus taught Paul the Apostle as the rest of his disciples to "pray for them who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44-45).  Paul, as a disciple of Jesus, writes that "... prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made FOR ALL MEN ..." (1 Timothy 2:1-15).
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
~ Paul the Apostle - formerly Saul of Tarsus - forever changed by Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:1-6)

All things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26).

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation (according to Romans 1:16).

LOVE AND PRAY IN CHRIST - FOR ALL

Does God Ever Heal?

Does God Ever Heal?
By John G. Lake

The New Testament records forty-one cases of healing by Jesus, Himself. In nine of these instances not only were the individuals healed, but multitudes, and in three instances it especially say “great multitudes.”

With the growth of His life’s work, the demand for extension was imperative, and in Luke 9, we read:

“Jesus called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases, and he sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”

When they in turn were overwhelmed with work we read in Luke 10, that Jesus appointed Seventy others also, and sent them into the cities round about, saying, “Heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of god is come night unto you.

If there were any foundation whatever for the foolish belief that only Jesus and the apostles healed, the appointment of these Seventy should settle it. When the Seventy returned from their evangelistic tour, they rejoiced saying, “Master, even the demons were subject to thy name.”

In addition to the Seventy we read that the disciples complained to Jesus, saying: W saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.” And Jesus replied, “Forbid him not: for no man shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak evil of me. He that is not against us is for us.”

This then makes a New Testament record of eighty-for persons who healed during the life-time of Jesus. Jesus, the twelve apostles, seventy others, and the man who “followeth not with us.”

Paul and Barnabas were not apostles during the lifetime of Jesus, but we read in the Acts, of their healing many. Paul himself was healed through the ministry of Ananias, an aged disciple, who was sent to him through a vision from the Lord.

Philip was one of the evangelists who preached at Samaria, and under his ministry there were remarkable signs and wonders.

Under the ministry of the Apostle Paul, the sick were not only healed, and the dead raised, but handkerchiefs were brought to the apostle, that they might contact his person. When laid upon the sick, the disease disappeared and the “demon’ departed from them.

The Book of James gives final and positive instructions of what to do in case of sickness.

Commanding that if sick, one shall send for the elders of the Church. Concerning their prayer of faith the Word says:

“The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins they shall be forgiven him.”

The great number of medieval miracles, deserve respectful treatment and the cumulative evidence of so much concurrent testimony by distinguished and upright men makes it impossible to think that they were all deluded and mistaken.

Ministry of Dr. John Alexander Dowie
During the life of John Alexander Dowie, and before his mentality was affected through overwork, he established a city in the state of Illinois, forty miles north of Chicago, on the lake shore, known as Zion City. The city was established in 1901. In twelve months it had a population of 4000. In three years the population was estimated at ten thousand. The city Council passed by-laws banishing drugs, medicine, and the use of swine’s flesh. None of these are used by his followers if they wish to remain in good standing. Their vital statistics reveal their death rate is lower than that of other cities of the same population. Insurance companies were afraid to insure the Zion people because of the well-known fact that they would not employ physicians or medicine. But at present, insurance companies are seeking their business. They are recognized to be among the healthiest people in the United States.

On an occasion at the Chicago Auditorium, persons from all parts of the world who had been healed through his ministry, were invited to send testimonies on a card 2&1/2 by 4&1/2 inches. It required five bushel baskets to hold these cards. They numbered sixty thousand. Ten thousand in the audience rose to their feet testifying to their own personal healing by the power of God, making grand total of Seventy thousand testimonies.

In South Africa, Divine Healing holds such sway among both black and white, that army officers estimated that in the recent war, twenty out of every hundred refused medical aid, and trusted God only. This necessitated in the army the establishment of a Diving Healing Corps, which ministered healing by the Spirit of God.

Among prominent physicians who have not only been healed of God, but have adopted the ministry of healing through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are: Phneas D. Yoakum of Los Angeles, head of the Pisgah Institution, whose blessed ministry of healing is recognized by Christians everywhere. Dr. William To, Gentry of Chicago, who was not only prominent in his profession as physician, but as the author of Materia Medica in twenty volumes, to be found in every first-class medical library. His publisher sold over 100,000 copies of this work.

To this I add my personal testimony, after twenty-five years in the ministry of healing, that hundreds of thousands of sick have been healed of the Lord, during this period, through churches and missionary societies founded on the pattern of the Primitive Church, finding God’s equipment of power from on high.

With this weight of testimony before us, it seems childish to continue debating the ability or willingness of God to heal the sick. Let us rather with open minds and heart receive the Lord Jesus Christ, as Saviour and Healer, and trust Him with our bodies as we trust Him with our souls.

"Almighty Dollar?" NO - THE DOLLAR IS NOT ALMIGHTY

"Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; THERE IS NO OTHER."
(Deuteronomy 4:39 NKJV)

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, THE ALMIGHTY.”
(Revelation 1:8 NKJV)

"Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; HE REMOVES KINGS AND RAISES UP KINGS; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him. “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”
(Daniel 2:20-23 NKJV)

Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?”Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me UNLESS IT HAD BEEN GIVEN YOU FROM ABOVE. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”
(John 19:10-12 NKJV)

Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?” But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius [money - like into the dollar of today] that I may see it.” So they brought it. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And Jesus answered and said to them, “RENDER TO CAESER THE THINGS THAT ARE CAESER'S, AND TO GOD THE THINGS THAT ARE GOD'S." And they marveled at Him.
(Mark 12:13-17 NKJV)

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. FOR THERE IS NO AUTHORITY EXCEPT FROM GOD, and the authorities that exist ARE APPOINTED BY GOD. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is GOD'S MINISTER to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is GOD'S MINISTER, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are GOD'S MINISTERS attending continually to this very thing. RENDER THEREFORE TO ALL THEIR DUE: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
(Romans 13:1-8 NKJV)

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son JESUS CHRIST. THIS IS THE TRUE GOD and eternal life. LITTLE CHILDREN, KEEP YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS. Amen.
(1 John 5:18-21 NKJV)

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I AM ALMIGHTY GOD; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
(Genesis 17:1-2 )

THERE IS ONLY ONE ALMIGHTY - HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST - KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
(Revelation 19:11-16 NKJV)

"Almighty Dollar?" NO - THE DOLLAR IS NOT ALMIGHTY.

God bless you!

Reconciled Theology - Proper Direction and Purpose

BE RECONCILED TO GOD

Properly directed theology is fully reconciled to God.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."  (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
BUILD UP THE BODY OF CHRIST

Properly directed theology is for the edification (the building up) of the body of Christ.
"And he gave some... teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ..." (Ephesians 4:11-12)
Edification educates, enlightens, inspires, and nurtures.

By nature, Reconciled Theology always edifies (builds up) the body of Christ.

In contrast, improperly directed theology confuses, perplexes, puzzles, clouds, darkens, and obscures.  If anything about Reconciled Theology does this, it is not Reconciled Theology.
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." (James 3:17-18)

THE PROPER DIRECTION AND PURPOSE OF RECONCILED THEOLOGY is:
"again to make friendly the study of God" for the edifying of the body of Christ.

IN CHRIST
ONCE FAR-AWAY, NOW NEAR
ONCE LIVING DEAD, NOW LIVING ALIVE
NOW
TOGETHER WITH CHRIST
SAVED AND RAISED
RECONCILED TO GOD
ACCORDING TO THE COURSE OF CHRIST

HE IS OUR PEACE

NOW
HAVING ACCESS TO THE FATHER
BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH
IN CHRIST

And you were dead by reason of your trespasses and sins, in which you once lived according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the realm of the air, of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience. Among them we also all once lived in the passions of our flesh, gratifying the desires and impulses of the flesh, and were by nature children of wrath, just like everyone else. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even though we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved — and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the ages to come the incomparable riches of his grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are His work, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance that we should do them. So remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by those called the circumcision — made in the flesh by hands — remember that at that time you were apart from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who were at that time far away have come near through the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down the dividing wall, having abolished in His flesh the hostility, the law of commandments and regulations, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and to reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, having put the hostility to death in Himself. And He came and preached the good news of peace to you who were far off and of peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have access by the one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, the cornerstone being Christ Jesus Himself, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”

The Way of Cain, The Error of Balaam, The Gainsaying of Core

Today at lunchtime I was struck with an overwhelming feeling of sadness to the point of nausea. Since I was feeling sick to my stomach, I went on to my prayer spot. While driving there, I became brightly aware of the sin of charging money for ministry (pay to pray). Realization of the disgusting nature of this practice caused my nausea to turn into tears. I thought of the times where I had been asked to speak at church services and how it was customary for people to be paid a small fee to share The Word of God. First, I pledged to The Lord not to accept money for ministry - instead always freely to give as I have to give. This is my current calling. (Others have different callings - I understand this, and I also understand that callings can change.) Then, I prayed for those who had done this - for those who have ministered outside of their calling. I prayed for those who have ministered for financial gain. And finally, I prayed for the victims of this practice. All sin has victims. After prayer, the nausea lifted and the tears turned into joy. I write this now for a purpose and will allow The Word of God to speak for itself.

Ministers, Brothers, Sisters... Make sure that you do not go the way of Cain, and run greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perish in the gainsaying of Core.

IN FULL CONTEXT: "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
(Jude 1:1-25 KJV)

Let us believers think clearly and soberly according to The Word of God and not according to the traditions of men.

Make sure that you are doing things for the right reasons.

Make sure that you are doing what you are called to do.

Pay attention and remember what I have said here. Please, friends, never let me become a "Likewise also..." according to Jude 1:8 KJV.

Thank you. God bless you!

REDIRECT MY THOUGHT LIFE

1 Corinthians 2:16
God, You know why my heart is vexed.  There is so much I don't understand.  You see me struggling to do the best thing - to recognize the best thing.  You know what I desire.  Forgive me for having desires that do not honor You.

I thank You and praise You.  For you are lifted up above the heavens which You created.  You reign in ALL places.  You are THE MOST HIGH GOD and ARE WORTHY of receiving ALL PRAISE.

God, I thank You for life, love, comfort, hope... All that you have given me - seen and unseen.  I thank You God that You are for me and not against me.  I trust in You.  I ask of You to show me what exactly to ASK for and how specifically to ASK for it.  I ask You and thank You for showing me the "Why" - over and above the "What."  The name of Jesus be praised!  Amen.

This prayer psalm is modeled after the excellent teaching in the following video.  The above is my first prayer psalm.  God bless you!

"What -vs- Why" is explained in the following video.

Marriage, Virtue, and Discipleship in Christ

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." (Proverbs 18:22 KJV)

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.  She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."  (Proverbs 31:10-31 KJV)

THE WISE AND THE FOOLISH

"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." (Proverbs 14:1 KJV)

NOW CONCERNING MARRIAGE

"Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction. But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well. So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God."  (1 Corinthians 7:1-40 KJV)

THE CALL OF GOD

"And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." (Matthew 19:29 KJV)

DOES NOT CALL FOR NEGLECT

"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."  (1 Timothy 5:8 KJV)

SUBMISSION AND LOVE

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband."  (Ephesians 5:22-33 KJV)

WHAT JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE
The proud religious law-keepers came to Jesus. They tried to trap Him by saying, “Does the Law say a man can divorce his wife for any reason?” He said to them, “Have you not read that He Who made them in the first place made them man and woman? It says, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will live with his wife. The two will become one.’ So they are no longer two but one. Let no man divide what God has put together.” The proud religious law-keepers said to Jesus, “Then why did the Law of Moses allow a man to divorce his wife if he put it down in writing and gave it to her?” Jesus said to them, “Because of your hard hearts Moses allowed you to divorce your wives. It was not like that from the beginning. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sex sins, and marries another, is guilty of sex sins in marriage. Whoever marries her that is divorced is guilty of sex sins in marriage.” His followers said to Him, “If that is the way of a man with his wife, it is better not to be married.” But Jesus said to them, “Not all men are able to do this, but only those to whom it has been given.  For there are some men who from birth will never be able to have children. There are some men who have been made so by men. There are some men who have had themselves made that way because of the holy nation of heaven. The one who is able to do this, let him do it.” (Matthew 19:3-12 NLV)
WERE ANY OF THE APOSTLES MARRIED?

According to gotquestions.org"We know for certain that Peter was married because he had a mother-in-law (Matthew 8:14). The apostle Paul, who was not married, asked the Corinthians whether he also did not have the right to take a believing wife (1 Corinthians 9:5), as did “the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas [Peter].” From this, we can assume that Peter was not the only one to have a wife."
