Lynn (Ray) Hobbs

Lynn Ray Hobbs — April 21, 1946 – January 28, 2014. Read his obituary.
Lynn Hobbs was a special man to Matthew Foutch and to many other believers in Christ. The Lynn that Matthew knew was a man who had been changed by the power of Jesus Christ. Lynn wanted to share the truth of his past in order to bring glory to God — in that, if Jesus can save a man like him, He surely can save a person like you, and the persons you are praying for.
Texas Rain
Texas Rain is Lynn’s own first-person account of a life that included poverty, addiction, crime, prison and conversion. He wrote it plainly, and he did not soften it.
Before reading, you should know that parts of the book are difficult. The author writes honestly about abuse, violence, and his own past wrongdoing. These passages fall in the first third of the book.
Lynn wrote all of it as confession rather than as boast. He believed that what God had forgiven him was worth telling honestly, and that a testimony which hid the worst of it would be worth nothing to the person who needed to hear it. It is presented here as he wrote it, with the names of private individuals changed.
